This Medication Combaren contains 50 MG of Codeine in addition to 50 mg Declofenac. Combaren is used to relieve the pain, tenderness, inflammation (swelling), and stiffness caused by arthritis and gout. Combaren also is used to relieve other pain, including menstrual pain and pain after surgery or childbirth.
Declofenac is used to relieve the pain, tenderness, inflammation (swelling), and stiffness caused by arthritis and gout. It also is used to relieve other pain, including menstrual pain and pain after surgery or childbirth.
Declofenac is used in the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It is in a class of medications known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
How to Take Combaren
Take Combaren exactly as
directed by your doctor. Take each dose with a
full glass of water. Take Combaren with food or milk if it upsets your
stomach. Never take more of this medication than
is prescribed for you. Too much Codeine/Declofenac
could be very harmful. Do not stop
taking Combaren suddenly if
you have been taking it continuously for more than
5 to 7 days. Stopping suddenly could cause
withdrawal symptoms and make you feel
uncomfortable. Your doctor may want to gradually
reduce your dose.
